Checking back all the earlier posts, I realized the one thing that I have never missed for the past three years was posting CNY greetings. This year, I’m again a little late on posting the message, but hey, we do celebrate CNY till Chap Goh Meh.

Paintball – Better Safe than Sorry

I must admit, wearing protective masks during paintball games is a nuisance. First of all, I feel suffocated breathing through the mask, which leads to the second why, it impairs my movement. Wearing the mask is not unlike wearing a motorcycle helmet, although it is not as heavy, it restricts my vision, my hearing and for sure I don’t feel as agile as without it. All being said, I was relieved that the marshal imposed masks-on rule after I saw what actually happened to my friend. He would have become blind, or half a panda (: if he wasn’t wearing that mask.

Kaiching’s Moment

The hall was silent when Kaiching performed the magical Sonata Pathétique by Beethoven. It felt sad, wistful yet calm and peaceful. It’s hard to explain but it raised a mix bag of feelings when it reached my soul.

I took only a few frames that night. The clicking sound of the shutter was breaking the silence and I could sense people at the back staring at me..

London Design Festival 2010 – ‘Outrace’ is launched in Trafalgar Square, an installation designed by Clemens Weisshaar & Reed Kram, commissioned for the festival.

“The installation OUTRACE consists of 8 large-scale industrial robots on loan from Audi’s Ingolstadt production lines. A powerful LED light source is positioned at the tool head of each robot. By logging into www.outrace.org with a mobile device or computer a global audience as well as visitors to Trafalgar Square are empowered to direct the path of the light held by each robotic tentacle, creating a letter trace and text message on this most public square.”

When I first read about the news, I was ecstatic. I mean, how often would you get the chance to remotely control robots thousand of miles away? Alright, you aren’t actually controlling the robots per se, but you get them to do your bidding – writing text messages the light painting way. In short, it’s simply amazing.

I began to think about the message that I want the world to see. The first idea that struck me is to simply declare my love to someone. Yes, I know, I could be very romantic. But since this is a photography website, I will settle with something related.

Occasionally we get a question asking about our blog, since there have not been many updates lately. Did we abandon the blog? No. When are we going to post some interesting stuffs? Real soon.

Actually, we’ve both been around. Ghee Sin is still shuffling between Kuala Lumpur and Penang but I have moved to Kuala Lumpur recently. Indulging in our work, the blog has been overlooked, temporarily. Like what Arnold Schwarzenegger used to say – I’ll be back before coming back in much fanfare, we are too officially back in action now.

Stay tuned for a few wedding sessions and some other exciting posts coming up on this blog. Meanwhile, here’s an image I took while visiting Taiping Lake Garden couple of weeks ago.

As 2009 draws to an end, the holiday spirit has certainly livened up, with the malls decorated through the roof and the smile on everyone’s face. Coupled with those year end sales and time spent with family and friends, everyone is having the greatest time of the year.
